FAQS:
What is a stick and poke tattoo?
Stick and poke tattoos are created using a needle only, there are no machines involved. This process is ancient and consists of the continuous ‘poking’ of the skin that over time produces an image. Stick and poke tattoos do take longer than machine-made tattoos.
Why get a stick and poke?
Stick and poke tattoos are usually far less painful than machine-made tattoos. They are often meditative and gentler on the skin, allowing for a more relaxing experience and healing process. Stick and pokes are also more unique and often show the hand of the artist, this guarentees that you are getting a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork forever on your skin.
Are stick and poke tattoo’s painful?
Stick and poke tattoos do come with some pain, but nowhere near the amount caused by a traditional machine. They are commonly likened to the feeling of scratching sunburn and are significantly less damaging to the skin. If however, you are concerned about pain, I am happy to facilitate the use of numbing creams and sprays which many clients have found effective.
Do you have coloured inks?
Yes! I can accommodate almost any colour in the rainbow!
